Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. (Pinnacle) today announced the addition of three accomplished consultants, Gaétan Veilleux, Travis Murnan and Kunshan Yin, to further enhance Pinnacle’s expertise in modeling, data science and risk analytics.

“Gaétan, Travis and Kunshan are talented professionals and we’re extremely pleased to welcome them to Pinnacle,” Managing Principal Joe Herbers said. “They have many years of combined industry experience and are skilled and innovative actuaries. They will augment our deep bench of consultants and help us continue our leadership in the property/casualty industry.”

All join Pinnacle from managerial and leadership roles at leading insurance organizations.

Senior Consulting Actuary Gaétan Veilleux has been in the property/casualty industry for over two decades and has considerable experience in predictive modeling for personal and commercial lines of insurance. He has been engaged in analytic work since 2001, with a track record of success in modeling, pricing, ratemaking, claims analytic models, telematics and other areas.

Consulting Actuary Travis Murnan joined Pinnacle from a leading commercial insurance broker, where he led a team of analysts. He has been in property/casualty industry since 2012 in a variety of actuarial, analytic and managerial roles. He has specialized in the design, development, implementation and management of analytical models for a variety of applications.

Kunshan Yin, Ph.D., also joined Pinnacle as a consulting actuary. Yin has extensive experience in predictive modeling and risk management and has been in the insurance and financial services industries since 2007. Yin is a data scientist with a comprehensive background in computational mathematics, economics and statistics.

Veilleux and Yin are Fellows of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and certified specialists in predictive analytics (CSPA). Murnan is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
